InfantSEE®
Eye Exams for Infants at No Cost
Strong eyesight is key to how a child grows, explores, and begins learning. Early vision issues can impact development and may go unnoticed without proper evaluation. That’s why Cook & Hayden Vision Care Center supports InfantSEE®, a national initiative that helps babies get early eye care regardless of income or insurance.
Ensure your baby’s vision develops properly with a free eye exam through the InfantSEE® program at Cook & Hayden Vision Care Center by calling our office to schedule an appointment.
What Is InfantSEE®?
InfantSEE® is a public health program created to promote early eye wellness. Through this program, participating optometrists provide a no-cost eye exam for infants aged 6 to 12 months. It’s a proactive way to catch signs of potential problems when vision is just beginning to form.
Why Early Eye Exams Matter
A baby’s first year is full of critical visual development. Conditions like lazy eye, crossed eyes, or major focusing errors can appear during this time, and early detection often leads to better results. Even if there are no outward symptoms, these assessments can help ensure your child is seeing the world clearly.
What Happens During the Visit?
Our doctors use safe, age-appropriate methods to examine your child’s eyes. A typical InfantSEE® exam includes:
- Checking for alignment and eye coordination
- Measuring how the eyes focus and react
- Looking for signs of disease or irregularities
- Asking about family eye health history
- The process is comfortable, quick, and designed to give peace of mind.
